Reformers Unanimous was started when Steve Curington, a Cocaine addict, found complete sobriety through his relationship with God. He was soon asked to start a small addiction class to show others how to know God. What started as a humble, Friday night addiction class with 4 regular attendees quickly exploded into meetings with more than 300 people from throughout the community. As word spread, others began inquiring how to bring this program to their community. Soon a national organization was quickly launched, and shortly after that, an International arm was born. Today, there are more than 680 classes throughout the nation and eleven foreign countries.
In these chapters, the curriculum developed by Steve Curington and the Reformers Unanimous Staff is used (through multiple translations) to great effect. Reformers Unanimous boasts an 82% success rate among the graduates of its discipleship course. The program has proven to be so effective for one very important reason—it takes people from lives of addiction and places them into a relationship with God.
In addition to the National and International arms, Reformers Unanimous also owns, and operates separate Residential Treatment Facilities for hurting men and women who have become non-functioning addicts. By following the same Reformers Unanimous principles, these centers have restored hundreds of broken lives and have been the epicenter of countless miracles. Hundreds upon hundreds of people have been transformed through these centers and gone on to enjoy productive living and do incredible things with their lives.
Other arms of Reformers Unanimous include: Found-N-Unbound, a national radio series hosted by Steve Curington and RU Medical Advisor, Dr. George T. Crabb, D.O.; RU-N-Touch, an International mini-magazine; Kidz Club, an interactive discipleship program for children; Teens-N-Transition (TNT), a program designed to help teens through the difficult transition from teen to adult; and the Reformers Institutional Program (RIP), designed to minister to those who are incarcerated.
Through these many ministries, hundreds of thousands of people have been helped and brought closer to the Lord Jesus Christ. In just 12 years of operation, God has grown Reformers Unanimous to a position of remarkable influence throughout the world.
